MISSION
To fortify the musical formation of the poblano citizens so that it contributes to the integral development of the individuals and that corresponds to the demands of the present society.

VISION
To be an institution that obtains the transformation of consciences through music and that allows to offer to the population an integrally formative education.

HISTORY
Founded the 14 of September of 1964 by its present Director the Professor Jorge Altieri Hernandez.  In its beginnings it was integrated by young students of the Meritorious Normal Institute of the State. Nowadays, consolidated in Institution supported by the Government of the State of Puebla and The Education Ministry, the choir is formed by graduated people from several subjects and students.   Its repertoire includes from the classic and religious sort to the national and international popular music.

In these forty and four years passed it has made tours within the country, twelve by the United States of North America, six by South America in Argentina, Chile, Peru, Colombia and Ecuador; and twelve by the European continent, where it has participated in professional festivals, competitions and concerts in the main cities of Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Holland, Belgium, Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey, Poland and Russia, obtaining the professional consolidation in this art. One of the most remarkable facts is to have sung in the Vatican before Juan Pablo II and the representatives of the countries credited there in September of 1997.
It has offered innumerable concerts for presidents of Mexico, ambassadors and diplomats who have visited Puebla and Mexico.
It has obtained in diverse occasions the first place in competitions of choirs to capella within the country and the first national prize to the choir with support. In May of 2001 it participated in Varna, Bulgaria, in the Choral Competition Georgi Dimitrov.
As promotional of the musical culture and the choral song he is the organizer of the World Choral Festival of Puebla, Mexico from year 2000 in where 75 representative choirs of 32 countries of Europe, Asia and America have appeared during nine editions of this event.
